In memory of Spc. Robert Friese and all who gave the ultimate sacrifice, the Freedom 5K Run/Walk raises essential funds to maintain and enhance Veterans Freedom Park.

About the Freedom 5K

The Freedom 5K Run/Walk is held each year to support Veterans Freedom Park. Runners and walkers of all ages are welcome to join us for a morning of remembrance, community, and fitness. Proceeds from the event go directly toward park maintenance and improvements. We rely solely on donations and our two annual events to keep the park open and maintained.

Event Highlights

  • Scenic course around Harrison and the Veterans Freedom Park area.
  • Timed 5K run plus a family-friendly walk.
  • Memorial ceremony honoring Spc. Robert Friese and all fallen heroes.
  • Event shirts and recognition for top finishers (as available each year).
