Memorial bricks are placed throughout Veterans Freedom Park as a permanent way to honor those who have served, or are serving, in the United States Armed Forces. Your brick also helps fund the park.

Why Brick Pavers Matter

Memorial pavers are installed along the walkways and era areas of the park and serve as a lasting reminder of the men and women who served this nation. They also provide an ongoing source of funding that keeps Veterans Freedom Park growing and maintained.

Bricks can be purchased to honor any American who has served or is currently serving in the U.S. Armed Services. The honoree does not need to be a resident of Harrison or the State of Michigan, and friends and families can also purchase bricks simply to show support for our veterans and the park.

Order Schedule

Brick orders are typically batched twice per year so that installation can be completed before Memorial Day and Veterans Day. Order deadlines and details are also shown on the online store and mail-in form.

  • Orders received before late winter are targeted for installation before Memorial Day.
  • Orders received mid-year are targeted for installation before Veterans Day.

Brick Sizes & Suggested Donations

  • 4" x 8" brick – suggested donation of $100 or more.
  • 8" x 8" brick – suggested donation of $200 or more.
  • Mini replica bricks – $20 each (available with any full-size brick order).

Engraving can include names, ranks, eras of service, and, when space allows, a symbol or logo chosen from the approved designs.

Brick Order Instructions

Text is engraved exactly as you provide it. Letter case is preserved and the inscription is automatically centered on the brick. When counting characters, we include letters, numbers, spaces, and punctuation, so please stay within the line limits below and write clearly on the order form.

Before submitting your order, carefully proofread every line — your brick will be engraved exactly as it appears on the form.

ERA Placements

Bricks can be placed in different era sections within the park (for example, WWI/WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Gulf War, Iraq, Afghanistan, or along the Key to Freedom walkway). Use the era diagram on the order form to indicate your preferred placement. If no era is chosen, bricks may be placed in the main walkway.

How to Place an Order

  • Order online: Use our secure brick ordering site to select your brick type, symbol, inscription, and replica options, and pay by card.
    Visit the online brick store .
  • Order by mail: Download the Memorial Brick Donation Form, fill it out carefully, and mail it with your check to:
